84 Days in 2015
On the one hand, this is a daily record of my 2015 trip through SE Asia. On the other, it's a navigation idea that I pursued well past realizing the clunkiness of. It's a mess. I love it.
The Tin Man
A very long, very dark bit of doggrel I wrote on Valentine's Day in 2008, complete with a huge, awkwardly expressed illustration that marks the first time I really tried on the illustration front. Results mixed.
Glue Stick
This was breathlessly assembled in the hours after flipping through my dad's Peter Beard book. The joke arrives when you put Beard's blood-smeared testament to vitality and my polite little layout experiments side by side. (I look forward to trying again.)
Terrarium Travel
In 2015, while waiting for my girlfriend to finish grad school, I got my travel fix by spending hour after hour after hour just surfing Google StreetView. After a while, I started framing screenshots of the places I liked, creating a set of second-hand travel photos.
